VELUXA healthy workplace where climate adapts to people
From the beginning, the vision for the LKR Innovation House was to make indoor comfort and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. To achieve this, VELUX partnered with WindowMaster to provide the building’s intelligent natural ventilation system—an integral part of the user experience. Natural airflow plays a vital role in the indoor environment, contributing to healthier air, better cognitive performance, and a more balanced indoor temperature throughout the year. For a research-driven space like this, those benefits are vital.

Smart technology in sync with the building
At the core of the indoor climate solution are WindowMaster’s MotorLink® technology and more than 400 WMX 804 chain actuators installed on facade windows throughout the building. These actuators enable optimal comfort ventilation, playing a decisive role in a smart façade automation system utilised by WCC 320 PLUS MotorControllers that deliver seamless indoor climate control across multiple ventilation zones. This high level of responsiveness supports a comfortable and energy-efficient indoor climate. It also integrates smoothly with the building’s management system, providing full control for the facility manager while maintaining the building’s sleek design and visual coherence.

Efficient commissioning ensures performance
In addition to supplying the system, WindowMaster also supported the commissioning of the installed solution. This ensured that all components were fully calibrated and operational from day one—supporting long-term performance and reliability. The result is a workplace where the indoor climate is not just controlled—it’s intelligently adapted to the people inside it. Whether it’s a warm summer day or a brisk winter morning, the ventilation system adjusts to keep the air fresh and the temperature just right.

“The LKR Innovation House is a strong example of how natural ventilation, when intelligently managed, becomes an active contributor to comfort, creativity, and productivity. We are proud to support this vision with a solution that truly adapts to people’s needs. The project also highlights our commitment to supporting the fenestration industry with future-ready, intelligent solutions that promote both health and energy efficiency.”
