Your role:

As a Junior Building Performance Engineer, you will help analyze, understand, and improve how natural and hybrid ventilation solutions perform in buildings. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

You will:

Support design and project development

  • Collaborate and consult our sales teams, and key external project partners such as engineers, and architects to apply ventilation concepts in building design.
  • Evaluate solutions based on building geometry, climate, and indoor environment requirements and use.

Ensure performance and implementation

  • Review project data and results to assess how hybrid and natural ventilation systems perform in practice.
  • Suggest improvements to openings, control strategies, and system design.
  • Support alignment between design intent and implemented solutions.

Use data to strengthen solutions

  • Work with simulations, calculations, and project data to improve performance.
  • Contribute to improving documentation, tools, and internal methods.
  • Help translate technical insights into practical recommendations with project managers.

Work across markets and regulations

  • Engage with projects in different countries and climates.
  • Consider local building regulations and indoor climate standards.

Your team

You will join the Ventilation Institute at our headquarters in Vedbæk—a small, highly specialized team working at the intersection of airflow behavior, system application, and real-world application across all our markets.

The team supports projects globally, from early design stages to implementation and follow-up.

Your profile

You are motivated by applying theory to real-world challenges and enjoy working with data and technical problem-solving.

We expect you to:

  • Hold a relevant engineering degree (MSc or Beng/Diploma level) within Building Services, Civil, Energy Engineering, HVAC, or similar field.
  • Have a solid understanding of building physics and airflow.
  • Are curious about how systems perform in real buildings.
  • Work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Comfortable engaging with colleagues and stakeholders when clarifications is needed.
  • Communicate clearly in English

It’s a plus if you:

  • Have experience with indoor climate, energy modelling, or ventilation
  • Are familiar with simulation tools or basic CFD
  • Have relevant student job or project experience
