Mixed mode ventilation is a combination of natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation solutions. The natural ventilation in the building is managed through the automatic opening and closing of windows or other building openings. In the case of mixed mode ventilation, the indoor control system can manage the window or façade automation plus the building’s mechanical ventilation systems.
Since each building is unique, there are various possible combinations when considering mixed mode or hybrid ventilation.
