Great Britain, Bury Saint Edmunds
West Suffolk House, which was built in 2009, brings together a range of public sector services under one roof.
The building has been designed to be environmental, helping to reduce the carbon ‘footprint’ of both councils and to reduce their energy and water bills.
In the summer months the indoor climate is controlled by a combination of night cooling and natural ventilation. The natural ventilation system, which features automated facade windows supplied by VELFAC, is controlled by WindowMaster’s full NV Advance® system which interfaces with the computerised building management system (BMS).
