Natural ventilation can provide up to 80 DGNB points.
DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) is a voluntary certification system for sustainable buildings and is implemented in countries like Germany, Denmark etc. It is characterized by that it takes all sustainability aspects into consideration; social, economic and environmental – all three are equally weighted.
WindowMaster’s indoor climate solutions have been put to the test and have been evaluated to see how many DGNB points they can give. This showed that a proper and well designed natural ventilation system can provide 80 DGNB points to the certification. One of the important factors to achieve these points is to have an intelligent demand controlled system with possibility for e.g. positioning control and feedback of the actuator, three-speed actuator operation etc.
