The role

As Business Development Manager for the façade industry in the UK & Ireland, you will be crucial in building strong relationships with key customers, including system and profile houses, building envelope and façade management contractors, and window fabricators. You will be expected to generate project and product opportunities, using building project databases, customer insight data, and by running your own targeted customer outreach campaigns to existing industry contacts. You will be taking the lead on technical discussions with customers on the integration of WindowMaster products into well-established window profiles and systems, with assistance provided by the head office product management team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Relationship building:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing key customers within system and profile houses, building envelope and façade management contractors, and window fabricators.
  • Seek out opportunities to deliver customer presentations showcasing WindowMaster products and solutions.
  1. Lead generation:

  • Identify project opportunities by utilising existing building project databases.
  • Conduct customer outreach campaigns, using customer insight data to identify sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical design support to customers and key stakeholders to secure project specifications.
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing Team to stimulate digital lead generation.
  1. Manage opportunities:

  • Create and maintain sales opportunities in CRM from inquiries to the point of order.
  • Contribute to new customer contacts and accounts in CRM.
  • Record interactions with customers and key project developments in CRM.
  • Work in collaboration with the Operations Team to handover project and product orders for delivery.
  1. Technical design support

  • Collaborate with the head office Product Management team on actuator mounting design for window profiles.
  • Support your colleagues in the UK & Ireland sales and operations teams with actuator selection and mounting design and understanding technical window drawings.

  • Access to sparring with sales team members and sales responsible for specification sales in United Kingdom and Ireland.

You will be

  • Contacting customers and responding to incoming inquiries
  • Scheduling customer meetings
  • Delivering product presentations
  • Providing technical design support to customers
  • Issuing pricing proposals
  • Managing and maintaining opportunities in CRM
  • Briefing the operations team on won projects in preparation for project delivery
  • Providing actuator design support to colleagues in the UK & Ireland sales team
  • Providing weekly updates to the head of sales
  • Attending quarterly sales meetings

Your professional profile

  • Years of experience in the facades industry, within a system/profile house, façade contractor or large-scale window fabricator
  • You have a strong understanding of the facades industry and window profiles
  • Years of experience and a proven track record in new business sales
  • A solid aptitude for technical solution selling
  • Able to read and interpret detailed window profile drawings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM application is essential

In addition, you will be immediately ready to contribute to the dynamic and professional UK team based in Kettering and to build solid relationships with specialist technical colleagues in Denmark.

Practical and personal

  • Remotely based and able to work autonomously
  • Able to travel throughout the UK & Ireland, and occasionally travel to headquarters in Denmark and across Europe as required
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proficiency in English
  • Right to work in the UK
  • You possess a positive broad outlook
  • Your working attitude is communicative with a strong personal drive
